Rajasthan — Data Verification vs CEA / SLDC / NR-LDC

Verdict · PARTIAL — peak tiles render national-grid-scale figures (systemic IEA-1198 display bug, not a Rajasthan number); installed-capacity is a physical-vs-allocated basis note (IEA-1199), not a same-basis error; AT&C / RPO / tariff remain unverified this pass.

Findings

  • Peak tiles are the systemic IEA-1198 display bug — not a Rajasthan number. The all-time tile (1,18,956 MW), the two-year tile (1,18,956.1 MW), today's-peak (1,18,956 MW), live-demand (31,317 MW) and latest-daily-peak (1,07,959 MW) tiles all render national-grid-scale figures, not Rajasthan. Rajasthan's true all-time peak is ~19,165 MW (Feb 2025) (CEIC/CEA, corroborated by Indiastat). The headline displayed-vs-authoritative delta is +520.7%. A large positive delta here is a page defect, confirmed by re-fetch: every peak tile shows the same ~119 GW national value, which is physically impossible for one state. This maps to the known systemic mis-wiring tracked as IEA-1198 — the two-year-peak tile specifically inherits the same national feed and so overstates (the systemic tile defect). No new fix-ticket proposed.

  • Installed capacity is a physical-vs-allocated BASIS matter, not a tolerance failure. The page does not display an absolute installed-capacity MW figure (it shows only a live generation-mix percentage), so there is no same-basis page number to fail. The authoritative CEA allocation-wise (Aug-2025) Rajasthan Sub-Total row gives a GrandTotal of 56,494.14 MW (Coal 12,623.70 + Lignite 1,580.00 + Gas 774.63 + Nuclear 806.74 + Hydro 2,105.67 + RES(MNRE) 38,603.41). This is the state's allocated share. Rajasthan is RES-heavy with very large in-state private solar/wind (38,603 MW RES allocated), so a physical in-state count (sum of plants sited in Rajasthan) will differ from the allocated share — the physical-vs-allocated basis issue (IEA-1199), NOT a data error. The prior draft's "61,381.3 MW" and per-fuel MW table were treated as a same-basis page figure and failed against CEA; that was a first-pass artifact — those values are not present on the current page render and the CEA-allocated total is reported here as the verified anchor.

  • Row-attribution re-confirmed. The CEA allocation-wise layout misaligns the state name above its rows; the Rajasthan block (State / Private / Central / Sub-Total) was re-read directly — Private Coal 3,257 + 1,080 lignite and the 34,121.97 RES private share are the Rajasthan private-sector rows, and the Sub-Total GrandTotal column reads 56,494.14 MW. Confirmed this is Rajasthan, not Punjab (above) or Uttar Pradesh (below).

  • Anchors 8–10 (AT&C, RPO, tariff) were not independently cross-referenced against PFC / RERC within this pass and are honestly marked unverified rather than guessed.

Methodology

Live values read from the Rajasthan page (energymap.in) on 2026-05-30; authoritative values quoted with source + retrieval date. CEA capacity via the Aug-2025 allocation-wise report — Rajasthan Sub-Total row, GrandTotal column = 56,494.14 MW (allocated basis). Peak benchmark from CEIC/CEA and Indiastat (~19,165 MW, Feb-2025). No value interpolated; unretrievable anchors marked unverified. Peak-tile defect references IEA-1198 (national-scale feed in state peak tiles); capacity basis gap references IEA-1199 (physical-in-state vs CEA-allocated).
