About this dataset

A state-level, 15-minute served-load series designed for work that needs both intraday shape and daily accounting consistency. Metered rows preserve the observed series. Anchored rows apply the tested Pi_rho reconstruction to a declared shape prior while matching the published daily energy and peak anchors.

The approximately 5% validation result applies only where it is falsifiable: states and periods with metered history from which a state-specific shape can be built and tested. Cross-state shape transfer measures 10–17% MAPE, so states with no metered history of their own are a different tier and are labelled as such.

Coverage — measured, not promised

Two states only: Delhi and Andhra Pradesh, daily from 14 August 2026. No other state is sold in this product; it stays scoped to these two until at least 10 states are covered. Coverage is computed from the live table by state and calendar year, including row/day counts and metered-versus-anchored tier mix. Only dates actually loaded are advertised; the target archive depth is not represented as available coverage before backfill.

Caveats — read before you buy

  • Basis per state. Delhi: served load, anchored reconstruction to the published daily energy and peak, with metered rows from the Delhi SLDC load curve where that curve is archived. Andhra Pradesh: served load, anchored reconstruction only (no metered rows yet).
  • This is load, not drawal. RPC SEM settlement data measures net interchange (drawal) at a state's boundary, which is not demand (demand = drawal + in-state generation); it is not in this product.
  • The approximately 5% result applies only to states and periods with metered history that supports a state-specific, held-out test.
  • Cross-state shape transfer measures 10–17% MAPE; those rows are a distinct, explicitly labelled reconstruction tier.
  • `load_mw` is served load. `unrestricted_load_mw` is available only when a published daily shortage anchor supports it.
  • `sigma_pct` is a conservative reconstruction uncertainty field, not a guarantee for every state and interval.

Frequently asked

What exactly do I get when I buy State Electricity Load, 15-Minute: Delhi and Andhra Pradesh?

A one-time export built fresh from the live India Energy Atlas database at purchase time, delivered as csv_gz via a private tokened download link, with a per-state/per-month coverage report and a data dictionary included. How is this licensed?

CC BY 4.0 — use it anywhere, including published work, with attribution: "India Energy Atlas (energymap.in), CC BY 4.0".

How fresh is the data and how are gaps handled?

The catalog shows live freshness straight from the source tables (15-minute server cache). Exports are built at purchase time, and every known multi-day gap is disclosed in the coverage report on this page — we never sell around a hole silently.

Can I configure the date range and states?

Yes — the configurator lets you pick the time window, states and format before checkout, and the price scales with the window you pick.

Do you offer pro-forma invoices or bank transfer?

Yes. Institutional buyers can request a pro-forma invoice and pay by bank transfer; the order unlocks automatically once payment is marked received. Stripe checkout (cards/UPI) is available for self-serve purchases.
