Plant-level generation

Overview

Two grains. The daily grain comes from the CEA daily generation report and lists every CEA-monitored thermal, hydro and nuclear station in a state with its daily energy, mean power and plant load factor. The 15-minute grain comes from Regional Power Committee settlement meters and, in Andhra Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, the state SLDC’s plant SCADA; its coverage varies widely by state. CEA monitors units of 25 MW and above, so captive and small plants are outside both.

Per-plant endpoints need a Growth or Enterprise plan. The coverage endpoint is public.

Coverage by state

Daily share: CEA-monitored thermal and hydro capacity with a daily plant value on the CEA report of 2026-09-30. 15-minute share: metered share of conventional generation, from dated surveys.

GET /api/v1/states/{code}/plants/daily

Every CEA-monitored station in the state for one report day, or up to 31 days with days. Defaults to the newest report day. Growth or Enterprise.

GET /api/v1/states/{code}/plants/timeseries

96 blocks per plant for one settled day. Settlement meters publish weekly, at least seven days in arrears, so the default is the newest settled day. Growth or Enterprise. The response’s coverage block states the metered share for the state.

GET /api/v1/plants/coverage

The table above as JSON: per state, capacity by fuel family, the daily share and the 15-minute share with its survey date. Public, aggregate only.
