Daily outage records for thermal generating units: the unit, its plant and state, the outage type (forced or planned) and the reported reason. Compiled from CEA daily outage reports. Together with the coal stock and plant generation series this completes the daily picture of India's thermal fleet.
This dataset is part of the Grid operations (PSP, frequency, coal stock, outages) family: 4,58,648 rows across 2021–2026, latest day 1 Oct 2026, 33 states and UTs, daily cadence. Counts are computed from the production database and refresh daily.
