Hourly state-to-state electricity exchange for India, reconstructed by flow tracing. About 2.1 million rows.
India publishes each state's net interchange, but not who traded with whom. This dataset reconstructs the missing matrix: for every hour and every net-importing state, the MW and share sourced from each exporting state. Per-state net interchange is closed to a consistent hourly balance, routed over a state-reduced transmission network with a DC power flow (455 inter-state EHV circuits aggregated into 59 corridors), and attributed origin-to-destination with proportional-sharing flow tracing. These are model estimates, not metered flows — every export ships a per-hour quality ledger. Hourly from 22 January 2026, refreshed hourly. 32 states and UTs; island grids have no inter-state corridors and are excluded.
This dataset is part of the Interstate flows and exchange family: 5,54,29,907 rows across 2013–2026, latest day 2 Oct 2026, 35 states and UTs, 15-minute to daily cadence. Counts are computed from the production database and refresh daily.
